About Me
I am a rising sophomore at princeton-university">Princeton University and am planning on attending medical school in the future. Although I am majoring in a science-related field, molecular biology, I enjoy immersing myself in the humanities as well. I consider myself to be a meticulous person, and value highly my relationships with other people.
I have tutored many high school students throughout high school, helping them with subjects such as calculus, chemistry, biology, and history. I have also assisted many students with their essays, particularly college essays. Over this past school year, I tutored a high school sophomore in precalculus and chemistry, and also worked with a chicago">tutoring company in Princeton, NJ, assisting two high school students with SAT preparation.
My chicago">tutoring approach varies according to the student, but in general, I start out lessons by asking the student what he or she would like to cover, and if there are any worksheets that I should take a look at or if he or she needs help with homework problems. After that, I try to give a detailed overview of whatever topic is being studied. I like to give real-life applications of the material or draw analogies to other subjects to make the lesson more memorable and interesting. Although I have usually been given formal times to meet up with students, I always make myself available to students through email or phone whenever they need help, beyond the formal meetings.
