I enjoy swimming and reading in my free time. I love books that include humorous anecdotes or tones like The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I also like learning fun facts and can't wait for Shark Week to start!

About Me

I am a recent honors graduate from the redlands">University of Redlands and I enjoy working with kids and helping people learn. I hope to continue my education and receive my masters in English or a Business related field. I also wish to receive my swim coach license so I can teach my favorite outdoors activity.

I tutored elementary and middle school foster youth for three years in English, Math, Social Studies, Religion, Computer Skills, Organization, Study Skills, and Biology. In addition to tutoring, I would also assist in their projects or presentations. I also edited and worked with my peers on their English and Research papers to help them present their knowledge in the best way.

With my tutoring approach, my first goal is to asses the students current understanding. Then I will create a lesson plan with obtainable goals for the student. Once we beginning working, I try to ask questions that will help lead the student to the answers so they feel empowered finding the solution. This will help them learn to understand how to approach similar questions. For students that do well in Math and not English or struggle with writing, I have a essay formula that gives the students an easy structure to understand and build a foundation for continued improvement.
