Fun Facts
I studied abroad in Paris the summer of 2012 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was four and I have five sisters. In elementary school, I was in my school's advanced learning program, where we focused on math, reading-comprehension/georgia/atlanta">reading comprehension, writing, and history.
About Me
I am currently a student at Georgia Tech studying International Affairs and French. I have completed two internships, one at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the other at The Carter Center. I will be graduating in December, and I hope to earn a little extra income before I graduate.
Although I have no formal atlanta">tutoring experience (never through an agency) I have tutored my younger sister when we were younger. In some of her classes, she was much farther ahead in her learning than her peers, so sometimes she would come to me for a challenge and I would show her some of what I was learning in my classes. In middle and high school, my friends would also come to me for help when they were having difficulty with something.
The first thing that I like to do is learn how the student best learns, whether visually or orally. If there have been previous attempts to atlanta">tutor the student, I find out what worked for the student, and what methods I should stay away from. It's important to keep the student engaged and interested otherwise they will never learn what they need to. I try to use my own personal experiences to help the student learn.
