Fun Facts
Here are a couple of things about me that you might find interesting. I love to read, I love to travel and I love dining out. I enjoy meeting new people and I love teaching. Other activities I enjoy are bowling and roller skating. I'm not very good at either, but I do them for fun.
About Me
I am currently a special needs teacher with Chicago Public Schools. I graduated with a B.S.Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1994 and I graduated from DePaul University in 2004 with an M.Ed. in Language, Literacy and specialized Instruction.
Experience
I have been a teacher for 21 years and as a special needs teacher, I have the opportunity to give my students the one on one assistance needed. I have also had experience working in a reading lab with small groups of students at a time. I believe working with Frog Tutoring will give me the chance to work with even more students.
Approach
I like to find out about my students before I begin, I like to find out what a likes and dislikes are what interests they have and what difficulties they are facing. I would like to share the difficulties I had as a student to make the student feel a little more comfortable and I would let the student know that things do not always come easy, but with hared work and determination I can help the student achieve their goal.
