Fun Facts

I am sort of a tutoring expert. When I was a younger student, I was the annoying kid that often got the highest grade without studying. Maybe I was inadvertently annoying to my fellow students, but as your tutor, I can be your best friend! I have even tutored in subjects that I had never, ever studied before, including graduate level courses.

About Me

I completed my master of science from Georgetown University in the medical sciences. I was accepted at Columbia University, but attended the University of Florida with a full scholarship. I scored about 99th percentile on the SAT and about 95th percentile on the MCAT (medical college admissions test).

Experience

I have extensive tutoring experience (well over a decade). I started tutoring when I was a freshman in high school and have continued ever since in: math (all levels), science (biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, physiology, MCAT), SAT, ACT, economics and more. I can help younger students needing mentors/organizational skills, and also, older, busier students who just want to get down to business. I have tutored with both The Princeton Review and Manhattan Review for the SAT.

Approach

I am serious about obtaining performance results; however, I always make tutoring a fun experience and tailor my tutoring to each students strengths, weaknesses and personality. I find it especially important to work with students as they complete problems to understand their thinking process. This pinpoints the problem areas that arise for the student and give great insight into helping to direct the student in the right direction.
