I studied Criminal Justice and Psychology during my undergraduate, and changed careers to become an educator.

About Me

I have been an educator for two years, and have experience one-on-one tutoring. I teach middle school ELA and have experienced in elementary reading programs. I recently graduated from Hunter College with a Masters in Secondary Education.

Experience

As a reading interventionist in 2015-2016, I worked one-on-one with elementary students to improve their reading skills and providing strategies. In 2014-2015 I volunteered at an after school program where I assisted students in all grades with their homework completion and study skills. In 2016-present I teach 8th grade middle school, all subject areas. I also have experience in High School ELA classrooms as well as GED and HSE classes.

Approach

I am dedicated to educational equity in New York City and providing all students with equal opportunities. I work with youth throughout the city to improve their educational experience by providing educational supports which help them to succeed.
