Fun Facts

I LOVE teaching. Ever since I was a child I'll play 'teacher' and teach my parents and siblings. So when I got my first job at fourteen, of course it was in an educational environment. Ever since that, every job I had as been dealing with educating students. I also have a passion for animals, helping them, raising them, etc. I love animals and I am currently working with my school to attend a trip to the Amazon Rainforest to study a few of the animals that live there.

About Me

I am currently a sophomore at Saint Peter's University, where I am majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology. When I graduate, I hope to continue my studies at Saint Peter's to obtain a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. My biggest goal right now is to open my own preschool a few years after graduating, where I'll teach and also lead my teachers to help our students be successful.

Experience

I have worked with several tutoring programs and also been an instructor in many other establishments. In 2013, I was a tutor for Read Alliance, where I tutored second graders who were struggling with their reading scores. That summer I worked as a teacher assistant, where I helped come up with lesson plans and worked with the children. From 2014 to 2016 I was a tutor for many other places such as Salvation Army and American Reads.

Approach

I always loved school. However, I did have problems with some topics but had teachers and resources to help me understand whatever it was that I couldn't grasp. I was very fortunate to have teachers who pushed their students to understand the value of education. I also worked with teachers who has made sure their lessons and words to their students were filled with excitement and wonders of education. It is in my best interest to follow their footsteps and help students become successful.
