AP English Tutoring

My degree is in Liberal Arts concentrating in Theater and English. I have taken numerous English courses throughout my studies, including AP English in high school. I have worked on both the literary and writing aspects of this subject.

Throughout my English career, Reading Comprehension has been an essential part of my education. I am an avid reader and have learned to develop what I refer to as a "mind movie" when reading. I have learned to thoroughly visualize what I am reading. I have a steadfast and thorough technique that will help a student develop a voracious appetite for books.

I have also taken two university level Math classes and passed with a B. I have worked with first through fifth graders to prepare them for their STAAR test and often use visuals to help them see the problem come to life. I have found this method works for many students and has helped them raise their grades.

I am a native Spanish speaker. I am fully fluent in speaking, writing, and reading the languge and often work as a translator. I have tutored adults in conversational Spanish and worked with children as well.

I learned English when I was five years old and have helped others learn it since then. I went to school in the United States my entire life and am fully fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. I have tutored bilingual children and adults that need to improve their English and often translate.
