Fun Facts

My first time flying was less than a year ago at the age of 22. Before then, I once took a non-stop road trip with my parents from Houston, TX to Manhattan, NY. I love being active, whether that is taking a run in the great outdoors of Austin, TX or exercising at my apartment's indoor fitness center. I do not see myself living in a climate that gets any cooler than that of Austin, TX. I was breed for warm, humid weather by spending the majority of my years in Houston, TX.

About Me

I was born and raised in Houston, TX. After graduating high school I moved to San Marcos, TX to attend Texas State University for one year. Afterward, I transferred to The University of Texas at Austin where I am finishing my last year of my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Post-graduation, I plan to work as a personal trainer and later transition to management.

Experience

As a Community Assistant (CA) with American Campus Communities, my roles included showcasing properties, resolving resident/parent conflict, planning/organizing events, role modeling, executing legal contracts, sales and general maintenance tasks. During my third year, I served as the Senior CA. My roles in addition to those of a CA included supervising a team of 15 CAs, facilitating communication between management and CAs, coordinating with emergency services, & second point-of-contact.

Approach

Growing up as the youngest of four children, it was difficult to see my siblings get things before I did. There is plenty that a eight year old cannot have but a 10, 12 or 14 year old can. As a kid, this was hard to understand. Fortunately, this continual dynamic helped me to develop incredible patience. In my previous job I developed great communication skills, both interpretation and transmission. Together, patience and communication make up essential attributes of a tutor.
