Fun Facts

People that know me well know that I'm a clown and a writer. I'm always cracking jokes to lighten the mood and make things more interesting and I love expressing myself on paper whether it's through satires, poetry, or short fictional works; I'm always eager to satisfy my creative mind by letting it all spill out on paper. Although I'm far from reaching stand-up comedian status given my intense stage fright, I hope to get there soon and give it a shot.

About Me

I am a sophomore at St. John's University. I started out as a Physician Assistant major but recently switched to Toxicology. When I graduate, I plan on either pursuing a Master's in Toxicology or entering a postgrad Physician Assistant program. My ultimate goals are to either become a PA with a specialization in either oncology or dermatology, or going on to medical school. Aside from my main career goals, I aspire to also become a published author.

Experience

As a tutor in my university's writing center, I often assist others with improving their written communication skills and finding their inner voice. From Biology to Latin, I've helped my fellow peers and other students excel in subjects that they struggled in and taught essential study skills necessary for academic success. Everyone has the capability to be an A+ student! It just requires adequate time management, determination, and focus.

Approach

As a child, I've always been very apprehensive about tutoring. It's always been cut and dry drills that made me feel more anxious about making a mistake than anything else. To me, an interactive and engaging approach does less to intimidate students prone to making natural errors and instead provides constant encouragement and motivation in order to foster intellectual growth. Learning is 'trial and error', we keep making mistakes until we gain both the confidence and skills to be better!
