Fun Facts
One interesting thing I tell people when they ask me why I am majoring in biochemistry is that when I was in High School, chemistry was such a great challenge to me that I was determined not to let it defeat me. Funny story is that it ended up being my career path.
About Me
I am a junior in Biochemistry at charlotte">UNC Charlotte.
I am looking forward going to graduate school for chemical engineering .
Experience
Regarding chemistry, I have held study groups among my classmates in college.
While in high school, I was part of Science National Honor Society and the Chemistry Club.
Approach
As mentioned earlier, I struggled with chemistry at first. It seemed like a completely different language to me. As I determined myself not to fail at overcoming the obstacles, I started to like the challenge. I had a chemistry teacher in high school that taught me not to ever study just to do well on the tests, but to get educated and to learn.

Algebra Tutoring
I was exempted from taking Algebra I in high school.
Took Geometry, and Algebra II Afterwards and earned an A in each course.
Tutored ESOL students in those two subjects.
AP Chemistry Tutoring
I took AP Chemistry in high school and earned straight A's throughout the year. In addition, I passed the AP exam and earned college credit (which I did not use because I decided to retake the class).
Calculus Tutoring
I took AP Calculus AB in high school and earned an A.
I took Calculus I in college and earned a B.
I took Calculus II in college and earned an A.
I am currently considering doing a minor in Mathematics.
Biology I Tutoring
Took General Biology and earned an A.
Chemistry I Tutoring
General Chemistry. Even though I earned the credit by taking AP chemistry, I decided to take it in college.
Earned an A.
Chemistry II Tutoring
Took General Chemistry II, held many study groups among my classmates. Earned a B.
Spanish I Tutoring
Exempted from taking languages courses since I earned the AP credit from High School.

Exempted from taking languages courses since I earned the AP credit from High School.
