About Me

I am an Electrical Engineering Major at UNC Charlottte. I have a 3.86 GPA, and am a member of the University Honors Program and the Albert Engineering Leadership Scholarship Program.

Experience

I have been a straight A math student my whole life, and have been taking advanced math courses since middle school. Math has always made sense to me, and there is something comforting about the routine and consistency to mathematics. There is almost always a definitively correct answer. I am the oldest of three, so I have had plenty experience helping others with math, as well as tutoring a family friend in college algerbra who had decided to return to school later in life.

Approach

I think everyone can be a math person. I think too often, we tell ourselves that math is inherently difficult and even impossible for us. I believe once we stop thinking of math as impossible, and believe that we can be good at math, we will be, even if it takes extra work. As your tutor, I will break down as many problems as you want, as many times as you want. I understand that sometimes math courses move very fast, and it is easy to fall behind, and feel it is too late to ask questions.
