Fun Facts

I love attending hackthons because they're fun and I get to meet cool people that are in fields related to mine. I also in enjoy reading and drawing when I have the spare time. Recently, I've gotten in using fabrication tools such as as digital embroidery, 3D-printing, and laser cutting.

About Me

I'm a junior in Computer Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, minoring in Mathematics and science/north-carolina/charlotte">Computer Science. I'm also the current social events chair for the Association of Computing and Machinery for Women on campus. After I graduate, I would like to get my Masters and travel abroad.

Experience

I have volunteered with the pre-college academy on my campus where I substituted for a teacher and helped middle-school and high-school students with their homework. I also helped conduct workshops on campus that taught students how to sew LED lights into clothing and introduce them to digital embroidery. Moreover, I am used to helping kids and teens learn since I have younger siblings who ask for my help all the time. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the awesome opportunity to help students!

Approach

Since I have siblings, I know first hand how hard it is to get kids interested in learning.That is why I try to make learning as fun as possible and get them motivated by tying into cool topics. However, as a tutor, I also understand that you can't just give students the answer because they'll never learn that away. Instead, I help culture the thinking process that allows students to get the answer and study habits that will help them along their academic career.
