Fun Facts
One of my favorite things to do is read books at cafes while it's raining outside. I enjoy playing the piano as a way to relieve stress and painting in my free time. I also love singing karaoke with my friends!
About Me
Hello, my name is Rina and I am currently an undergraduate student at New York University. I am a psychology major on the pre-medical track and a studio art minor. I hope t.o become a pediatrician sometime in the future and go on missions to help those who are in need of medical facilities.
I taught students from ages 5-13 math and ELA in summer camps. This experience enabled me to work with groups of kids at once. But I've also tutored high schoolers one-on-one in subjects such as geometry, algebra, biology, chemistry, as well as helped them with homework while in the National Honors Society during my senior year.
I believe practice makes perfect, whether it be in sports or learning school related subjects. When I tutor students, I prefer them to attempt to solve most things by themselves. I like to explain and teach what they don't know or forgot and will help them solve the first few problems, but I believe that the only way to improve is if they are able to solve a problem without another person's help. While studying for classes myself, I realized that whether it's math or science related, I only improve when I solve problems more than once.
