I am a Presidential Scholar (full tuition scholarship) at queens-university-of-charlotte">Queens University of Charlotte.
I just recently returned from a Summer long mission trip to Nepal, where I worked with various Human Rights, Medical, and Christian organizations.
I am the bass guitarist in a local band known as "Kings of Queens." In February, I performed with several other Queens musicians in a show called "Break Every Chain," a benefit concert to combat Human Trafficking. We raised over $5,000 for the cause.
About Me
I am going into my Junior year as an International Studies major at queens-university-of-charlotte">Queens University of Charlotte. I have an immense passion for anything related to history, international politics, philosophy, language, and writing. I hope to work for the United States government after I graduate in 2015, whether that be for the State Department, FBI, or the Air Force. Eventually, I would like to put my passion for these subjects to use as a teacher at the high school or college level.
Experience
I am currently an unpaid study group leader at Queens and lead lessons and small group discussions in multiple classes including: World Politics, History's Mysteries, Philosophy of Religion, and many more. This has granted me experience in tutoring in small groups in a variety of fields. As the President of Ratio Christi, I lead many discussions focusing on the subjects of science, religion, philosophy, logic, and reason.
Approach
The way in which I help others differs heavily on the subject. In a subject like history or Spanish, where there are objective, concrete answers to most questions, I find that it is best to be direct in explaining how or why something is the way it is and why it cannot or should not be different.
However, in a subject like philosophy, politics, or international relations, where answers and reactions vary heavily on the person's own experience, it is extremely important to be open to the idea tha
