Fun Facts

I enjoy skating. I love skating on ice but I live in Houston, HHH. So I try to learn inline skating and I found it has more fun than skating on ice. And it becomes my major transportation tool in campus. I enjoy surfing. Maybe I am not gifted, but I love every second of my time to enjoying the feeling of speed.

About Me

I just graduated from Rice University as Master of Economics with GPA 3.85/4.0. And I majored in Computer Engineering as my Bachelor Degree in one of the top 3 universities in China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My goal is to become a financial analyst which can combine my computer skills and economics skills.

Experience

I have a two cousins who just enter campus in Sep. 2016. I taught them every two weeks for their problems and point out the important stuffs they need to focus in this two weeks. And both of them entered their dream university in China. I also taught a high school student when I was an undergraduate student. Chinese students are good at examinations, so working for Frog Tutoring gives me the chance to help those students who knows the knowledge but cannot get a good grade.

Approach

Frequently people think that the best way to go about learning information is memorizing what you need to memorize. But it makes students lose their interest on learning. What is necessary for TRUE learning is understanding and organization. As such, I endeavor to help students not just "know the formula," but know where the formula comes from, how it is used, what others have links with it and how they were linked. So study becomes exploring a new world instead of memorizing the existing world.
