About Me
Hello! My name is Arielle Plonske. I'm a sophomore at New York University studying Social Work, History and late night pizza consumption. I made the Dean's List this past year! I was born and raised in Wisconsin where I developed a deep-seated love for cheese and the subtle beauty of nature. I have a dry sense of humor and a big heart.
During the fall of 2012 I was a manhattan">tutor with a program called American Reads. They, American Reads, pair each manhattan">tutor with a teacher in a New York City public school. I was placed at the Salk School of Science where I assisted with classroom activities and also provided one-on-one and small group manhattan">tutoring to 6th and 7th graders in reading and math. I also have some (informal) experience manhattan">tutoring my younger brother (he is currently a sophomore in high school) in all subjects.
I believe in working together with student to achieve goals. I also try to make the lessons as fun and engaging as possible so they students feel motivated to learn the material. Above all else, I aim to establish a friendly rapport with my students so they feel comfortable in the learning environment.
