Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE the beach. Any time i have a chance and the weather is permeable, you will find me playing or studying at the beach. I am the oldest of three, and was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley near South Padre Island, so I grew up near the water. I love to dance and although I am horrible at it, I enjoy singing as well.
About Me
I am a senior at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi where I will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Reading. I have been on the Dean's List as well as being a part of Kappa Delta Pi for Educators. My ultimate goal is to be the best elementary teacher I can be.
Experience
I have had plenty of experience working and helping children. I have had the privilege to help teach in both a kindergarten and 3rd grade class. I am also currently student teaching in a 1st grade class. Along with that, I have helped tutor many of my students after school. I am also a softball trainer where I work with girls one on one focusing of fundamentals as well as a volunteer in the child care department at my church when needed.
Approach
As a child, I always found joy in helping others, especially my former classmates when they needed assistance with our school assignments. As a tutor, I will bring positive encouragement and persistence to help the child see their full potential. I believe all kids are smart and can accomplish anything they set their mind too; I am here to help them take that leap needed.
