Fun Facts

A couple of things I really enjoy are reading novels and listening to music. Additionally, I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Texas when I was two--I basically grew up here! I also enjoy singing and playing the piano, though my skills in these two areas are mediocre.

I also am a big fan of tea and do leatherworking as a hobby.

About Me

I finished my Biology BS and Biotechnology MS at the University of Texa at Dallas. I was in UTeach and graduated with Collegium V Honors.

Experience

I was in the UTeach program and have had interactions with students in the classroom as a student teacher and long-term substitute. Informally, I have a younger sister who I tutor on subjects she does not understand. I also help her friends when they request for assistance.

Approach

A friendly and approachable attitude is always needed when attempting subjects that are of difficulty. I try to keep such an attitude when working with students, and like to try different approaches so that the student arrives at the correct answer. If possible I like to relate the student's interest to the subject at hand, so that the student would be more engaged in working out the solutions.
