Fun Facts

I am a dancer! I have been trained in classical ballet and have also picked up swing dancing in the past year (mainly east coast swing, but would love to learn others!). I'm an only child and currently have 2 kittens, Bonnie and Clyde who are quite crazy. I am in love with everything vintage- I have extensive knowledge of songs from the 1920's-1940's. I also have duel citizenship with Switzerland.

About Me

I am currently a junior at Seattle University, majoring in international studies and French. After I graduate, I hope to teach English in France for a year and get my master in public health, hoping to address health concerns for children everywhere. I also am planning to join the honor society Phi Sigma Pi.

Experience

In high school I was the president of the California Scholarship Federation club and ran our tutoring program through that for 2 years. I scheduled appointments and well as tutored my self and became a private tutor for math. I also taught a 6-month health program for 3rd graders. Through Frog tutoring, I can continue my love of helping people and tutoring because it is truly something I enjoy, especially when the teacher comes up to tell me how well they've improved in their class.

Approach

When tutoring, I make sure to always make sure that it is the student's job to apply the material they learned to whatever they're struggling and make known that it is their job to practice what we've learned! I focus on making sure they understand the process of a concept instead of giving them the answers. All my tutees have improved their grades in the classes they were struggling with and that is why I tutor- for the satisfaction that I have had a positive influence in someone's life.
