About Me
I'm a first year medical student at Johns Hopkins. I have tutored for the past six years and look forward to continuing to teach students privately here in maryland/baltimore">Baltimore.
I have worked as a self-employed maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor for the past six years. During college, I maintained contact with clients by maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring over email and Skype, as well as visiting on weekends and during vacations to continue to work with them. I enjoy working with families and often expand my clientele within families, starting with one student (often the eldest) and eventually maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring nearly all of the siblings.
I enjoy finding metaphors, examples, and explanations that work with a student's learning style and personal experience. I will try to explain things as many ways as necessary until a student grasps a concept, and do not believe in giving up. I like to make maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring sessions fun, so that students gain confidence in their abilities and do not learn to dread homework and learning. I try to find the root cause of the issue, from a lack of confidence or study skills to a true difficulty with the content.
