Fun Facts
I absolutely love to sing (not necessarily well, I might add). It makes me so happy to listen to a good song and to sing along with it-- especially while I'm driving!
About Me
I am a Junior Psychology Major at St. John's University in Queens, new York. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 and I am very dedicated to my studies! I hope to graduate from the 5-year program with my Master's degree to become a Mental Health Counselor.
Experience
I have worked in a preschool for the past two years and absolutely love it! I enjoy being able to make a difference in the lives of children and see their progress throughout my time with them. I am very passionate about teaching!
Approach
My approach to teaching is quite simple. Once I get to know the person I'm teaching, I am able to relate the things we are learning to things they are interested in. As a child, I had trouble learning about things I wasn't necessarily interested in, but when I got to college and had to take Core classes that had nothing to do with my major, I had professors that made it fun and interesting which made it easier to learn.

Elementary Math Tutoring
Throughout my experience as a preschool teacher, I am able to make math interesting and understandable for children who may not understand it right away.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
As an undergraduate student in college, I have to do a lot of presentations. Those presentations are all made with Powerpoint! So, I have a lot of experience with it.

As an undergraduate student in college, I have to write a lot of essays and papers. Those essays and papers are all typed on Microsoft Word! So, I have a lot of experience with it.
Psychology Tutoring
I am a Junior Psychology Major and have taken a lot of the undergraduate psychology courses. I have managed almost all of the courses with an A and feel that I would be a good help in this area. I have tutored a few people in my classes and they have all done better after my help!

I have always been a good writer. I love grammar and I'm good at explaining it to people who were never taught it the right way or simply didn't pay attention when they were taught it! As a psych major, I have to write a lot of research papers, so I have a lot of experience writing. My friends even ask me to edit their essays for them!
