Fun Facts
I was born and raised in New York, home to one of the best Indoor Track and Field facilities, The Armory. The Armory is the reason I have such a deep love for track and field. I starting running in 5th grade and have not stopped since. I am currently a student athlete for St. John's women's track and field team; I am a sprinter/hurdler.
About Me
I am a senior Psychology major at St. John's University. I am currently on the dean's list along with two honor societies: Psi Chi and NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success). Upon completion of my psychology degree I plan on continuing my studies at Rutgers University's law school. I hope to become an attorney who practices in family law.
Experience
In high school, I was part of an after school program, S.M.A.R.T. This was a program in which I used to tutor the children in the nearby elementary school three times a week in all academic subjects. During my college career, I have tutored friends in courses such as mathematics, English and Spanish.
Approach
As a psychology major, I have studied different types of learning approaches. I have learned that each child does not learn the same way. For some you need to be patient and cater to their academic needs during a tutoring session. I feel that with my background in courses such as child developmental psychology and experimental psychology of learning, I will not only be able to teach them the content they are requesting help in, but the study skills to help them excel!

College Algebra Tutoring
Math is by far my favorite subject in school. I have received nothing short of an A in all college course math classes: College Algebra and Calculus with Biological Science Applications. All through out my academic career, from elementary school until now, I have never received a math grade lower than an A-.

I come from a family that speaks three languages English, Creole (Haitian), and Spanish. I am familiar with all three languages but chose to study Spanish. I have taken 3 years of Spanish in high school and two semesters of Spanish in college. I have received A's in all courses.

Homework Coach Tutoring
I believe homework is the best part about school. It gives the tutor and the student an opportunity to see where there is a break in the learning process. Homework has always been my favorite part about my classes I feel as though it is a great tool to study as well as easy points towards your final grade.
