Fun Facts

I am an international student in every sense of the word. I was born in Queens, NY and I grew up in Greece where I received my cultural education.I joint the Greek navy where I worked as a marine Engineer and I visited many countries all over the world. I came to America in pursuit of my dream to do research in the field I love the most, PHYSICS!

About Me

I hold a masters in Physics from City College of New York and I'm currently working on my masters in secondary science education also at the City College of New York.Starting next year my goal is to work on my Phd in physics while working part time in education. A challenge that can potentially open doors to leadership roles in science education where it's importance in our country's prosperity is more and more recognized.

Experience

I had the opportunity to teach my fellow colleagues at the Merchant Marine Academy in physics and math.While doing my masters I tutored physics and math college level courses which I now feel very comfortable with since students performed to their expectations. Currently I'm a student teacher at the Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and Mathematics as well as teaching 4 high school students in my local church.

When it comes to my teaching approach I follow the latest developments in education. Feel free to ask me about differentiation strategies, content and behavioral goals, teaching models and modifications and accommodations that can take place based on the student's individual needs.My main goal is to create independent and efficient learners. When I succeed my job is done.
