About Me
I am a recent college graduate from the University of Arizona, where I majored in Physiology and Molecular & Cellular Biology. I am very passionate about my studies and I plan to be in the academic/research setting for the rest of my career. I worked in research for 3 years during my studies, and now that I am graduated, I am applying for medical school. I greatly enjoy teaching others and sharing knowledge. I work extremely well with others and I am very patient and sympathetic, especially when it comes to someones learning.
In high school I tutored other high school students in math, generally pre-algebra or algebra. In college I tutored and mentored middle school students at Imago Dei Middle School. Also in college, I was a preceptor in Anatomy and Physiology II lab, mentoring and helping other college students learn the material. I unofficially tutored two friends during college in pre-calculus, upper division biology classes, and upper division physiology classes.
My tucson">tutoring approach is personalized depending on the student's preferences. My approach may vary from student to student, wether the student learns best visually or audibly, but it is very important that the student tries to arrive at the answer themselves. Even if they tackle the problem and don't get an answer or a wrong answer, they performed essential thought processes that they can build off of in future problems. The investigative nature of problem solving is something I enjoy and try to get the people I mentor or tucson">tutor enthused about.
