Fun Facts
Playing soccer with my friends has always been a rewarding activity for me. Every day after school, we play soccer at a nearby field. These daily games have helped me to cope with stress. In fact, I tend to be more relaxed and engaged in my homework after a game of soccer. In addition, soccer itself is a very intense sport that helps me to stay fit. Apart from soccer, I have a passion for playing the piano. In fact, I've taken lessons for about six years, which has been a memorable experience.
About Me
I am a freshman Electrical Engineering major at Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York, and my ultimate goal is to earn a PhD in this field and become a professor. As of now, my interests lay in the semiconductor field. My passion for engineering grew at a very young age, as I lived among relatives who were pursuing careers in the same or similar fields. Teaching has also been one of my passions, and I hope to use the knowledge I gain through tutoring in the future.
Experience
This is not the first time I've tutored. My "career" began in 2012, when I joined the Kumon Learning Center to help students in advanced math. In 2014, I began working for Yonkers Public School as a district mentor, in which I trained high school students to become successful in online NYS Regents and AP courses. Then, in the summer of 2015, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Yonkers Summer STEM Program, in which I served as a teacher and leader to guide students in science experiments.
Approach
One of my biggest fears as a student was being the "slow" one in class. It took me some time to realize that everyone learns differently and that how quickly you grasp a material has nothing to do with how well you do in school. For example, I think tutoring Abraham, my neighbor, not only developed his math-related skills but also his awareness of what success entails. Working with Abraham helped him unveil his intellectual capacity, and I hope to do the same with other students.

Electrical Engineering
Calculus I Tutoring
I just recently finished my Calculus I course at City College. I earned an "A+" in the class. As a student in the class, I have helped my classmates with various problems and have assisted my professor during her office hours to tutor students who needed help.
Algebra Tutoring
I've been a tutor at the Kumon Learning Center for more than four years, and in my years at this institution, I've taught students all types of math courses. Also, I had an average of 99% in my Algebra class in eighth grade.
Geometry Tutoring
I took Geometry in my freshman year of high school. I earned a 99% as my final average for the class.
Math Tutoring
I've excelled in all my math classes in high school. In fact, I've gotten an award by the Math Department during my senior year for my accomplishments.
Science Tutoring
I have excelled in all my science courses. I've taken AP Chemistry and IB Physics as a high school student. Also, I got the Science Award at the end of 12th grade for having the highest NYS Science Regents score in my graduating class.
Elementary Math Tutoring
As a young student, I excelled in my math classes. For instance, in first grade, I was ranked first in mathematics (when I was in India).
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
Throughout my entire school career, I've used Microsoft PowerPoint to tackle my project presentations. I am also an expert in Google Slides. which is a new tool that students can utilize to work on group projects simultaneously.
Microsoft Windows Tutoring
This is a skill that I've developed over the years by using computers built on Windows operating system
Microsoft Word Tutoring
Microsoft Word has been a crucial part in my academic career, and I've gained an in-depth knowledge in its functions through experience. Also, I am adept in using Google Docs, a revolutionary tool that Google has developed to help students through several invaluable ways.
Spanish I Tutoring
I've taken Spanish for five years, starting in eighth grade. In addition, I took IB Spanish SL during my junior and senior year of high school, and I earned a grade above 95% in the class.
C++ Tutoring
I took my first C++ course in my freshman year of college. I earned an "A" for the class.
Chemistry Tutoring
During my sophomore year of high school, I took AP Chemistry and was ranked first in the class, with a final average of 97.
