Fun Facts

I am very creative; in my free time I enjoy painting, drawing, and photography. Additionally, I like being active, on the weekends you can find me skiing, hiking, or doing yoga. I also love to travel and have lived in 5 different states, plus abroad in Barcelona for while. I speak Spanish and would love to learn Italian and French one day as well!

About Me

I recently graduated from Fordham University, cum laude, in the spring of 2016. I have a BA in Communications and Media Studies and Visual Arts; I also have a minor in Psychology. For all four years of college I was a Dean's List recipient and a Loyola Academic Scholar. Furthermore, in high school, I was a member of the International Baccalaureate Program and National Honor Society when I was an upperclassman. I currently work as a Graphic Designer at CBC Advisors.

Experience

At Fordham, I was a member of the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP). Through HEOP, I was paired with economically and educationally disadvantaged students and assisted them with their coursework. I provided academic support by tutoring students in a variety of different subjects. Additionally, in high school, through National Honor Society, I worked with other Cathedral High School students and offered peer tutoring before and after school.

Approach

I find that every student is different; the same approach won't work with everyone. Typically, I not only have students bring their materials to our sessions, but also request that they plan ahead and specifically have topics/questions on which they would like to focus. Each session is tailored to the individual's needs. Patience is a very important factor; I do not rush students ever and let them all learn at their own pace.
