Fun Facts
I can speak two languages: Spanish and English. Another interesting fact is that I lived in four different countries: Peru, Argentina, Chile, and the United States of America. Furthermore, during the summer, I always travel to Carribean islands. The one that I enjoyed the most was Turks and Caicos.
About Me
I was born in Lima, Peru, and, after graduating middle school, I immigrated to the United States of America. Since then, I have been living in New York City. Due to college, I currently reside at Lincoln Center, but I live with my parents in TriBeCa.
I am a second-year college student majoring in Mathematics and minoring in English at Fordham University, Lincoln Center. Upon graduating, I will attend Georgetown University Law Center, and I will become a corporate lawyer in New York City.
Experience
In high school, I was on the Principal's List for three years. As a result, I got accepted into the National Honor Society club, and within this club, I tutored students bi-weekly in mathematics.
In college, I worked with Publicolor, a non-profit organization, that promotes and helps high school students with low incomes enter colleges. Furthermore, through Care.com, I have been tutoring seven grades, and, through John Jay's Upward Bound Program, I have been tutoring the SAT's math section.
Approach
Mathematics is a passion that I would like to share with other people, and, thus, I enjoy teaching it. The first approach is to communicate with the students regarding their problems in mathematics. Then, I will show them how to solve the problem. Additionally, because I am passionate about teaching math, I will cultivate in them the meaning and purpose behind the problem.
