Fun Facts
I enjoy exercising and working out. My favorite activity is swimming especially in the ocean due to the waves.
About Me
I am a junior Electrical Engineering Major at City College of New York. My goal is pursue a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering so one day I can be a Professor at a University teaching students.
Experience
When I was in high school I was a math tutor assigned by the guidance counselor to help a student out in return for community service hours. We would meet once a week to discuss the lessons and I would help explain how to solve homework problems. Through tutoring I learned where most students struggle and know how to approach them to get them interested.
Approach
When I was in eighth grade I struggled with Integrated Algebra and I know how it feels to be lost in the subject. But through rigorous practice and trying to understand the logical meaning of math I got better. Since eight grade I had no trouble with math and I feel like I can relate with other students and help them out.

C++ Tutoring
I took C++ programming in college for two of my courses and in both got an A. Some group projects taught me how to explain how the code works to others and taught me leadership skills. I feel like as an electrical engineer I can explain the code more logically on a hardware level.
Calculus I Tutoring
I took AP Calculus in high school and I got credit for the class in college. I know Calculus I can be troubling due the new concept of limits, derivatives and integrals in which as an electrical engineer we use it in every class. By taking higher level math classes I know all the tricks and analogies that can be used to solve questions in lower math levels.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
I took Calculus II in my college and got an A+ and I feel like this subject requires a lot of rigorous practice. By taking this class I feel like I know the hardest topics and how to explain the topics to give physical meaning. Since I am an electrical engineer we use tricks to solve the questions easier.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
This subject can be very confusing at the start since you enter a 3D math class. I got an A+ in the class in which I can help the students visualize the equations and help the understand the real life applications of what they learned. In my electrical classes we use this math to solve problems in electromagnetics which is a difficult course.
College Algebra Tutoring
Having taken a lot of math classes as an electrical engineer, I feel like I can explain college algebra so that it makes sense. I can give real life applications of the equations so that students can picture it. I feel like most students can't relate what they learned in a math class in real life and apply it.
Electrical Engineering Tutoring
As an Electrical Engineer I feel like I can teach the classes I have learned at my college to a high degree. Since all the electrical classes are interconnected to know one subject you need to know the other. I got A's in my electrical engineering classes and as well had labs that we had to build circuits like a digital clock.
Math Tutoring
I had a passion for mathematics since early childhood because it is all logical. Having that passion I took math classes at my college and got A+ in all of them. I feel like as an electrical engineer, I know the physical meaning of the equations and how its applied in real life.
Physics I Tutoring
Having taken this class in my freshman year of college was challenging because everyone struggles in physics. But with the right practice and trying to understand the concept you can get an A like I did. This subject you need to think physically of the definition of the equations and try to visualize what is happening and I can help with that.
Physics II Tutoring
This subject I can teach very well since this Physics II is mostly about electrostatics, circuits and magnetics. As an electrical engineer this physics is the most important since it is used in other classes and I have mastered this material very well. I can go further beyond this level to help explain the concepts of how they are explained in electrical engineering courses which make more sense.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Having taking Calculus courses I know that I can teach Pre Calculus I can help students focus on the main goal of this class which is to learn the basic thinking for Calculus. This class is a bridge to Calculus so a strong foundation is needed. I can help support this foundation by helping explain the main goal of the problems.
Trigonometry Tutoring
As an electrical engineer we used trigonometry and with this knowledge I can help teach it. Since trigonometry is applied in physical problems in engineering I can help with that. Trigonometry is about visualizing and understanding the physical meaning of the problem.
Algebra Tutoring
I took Integrated Algebra in eighth grade and I know it is tough to understand the topic at first. I struggled with the subject and was confused but I practiced and at the end I got an 94 on the regents. But I felt like I could of done better and so in my high school Algebra II class I never struggled and got an 99 on that regents. I think the subject is very important to build a strong foundation for the student.
Algebra II Tutoring
When I took Algebra II , I was taking AP Physics at that time and the physics helped me understand why we need the mathematics. Through this approach of knowing the real life application math becomes easier and so as an electrical engineer I can help explain why we need math. I received a 99 on the Regents and realized that a silly mistake I made costed me the 100.
AP Physics Tutoring
I took this class as a sophomore when I was in high school and got a 5 on the AP. I feel like I am qualified to explain this subject since right now as an electrical engineer I have taken physics classes and received A's. I helped to explain physics material to my peers because usually the class average for physics class is low due to the intensive material covered in the class which is not fully explained.
Calculus Tutoring
As an electrical engineer my classes require calculus on a regular basis and so I know how to explain problems and the theory. I know at first it can be overwhelming but with the right guidance anyone can learn Calculus. I received A's in my Calculus classes and I feel passionate about mathematics because it is used in science and real life applications.
Calculus AP Tutoring
I have taken AP Calculus in high school and I felt that if I knew more the class would be easier. In my college Calculus classes I learned tricks that would help someone in AP Calculus. I had no problem with math I have received A's and know that my knowledge and my approach to Calculus can help prepare students for the AP test.
Geometry Tutoring
Geometry is a weird math class in which you have visualize and prove different statements. The goal of the class is establish good logical thinking and reasoning which is tested on the math SAT. Having taken Calculus III and electrical engineering classes that deal with 3D geometry and shapes I know how to explain and approach a student.
Physics Tutoring
I took this class as a freshman in high school and scored a 95 on the regents. As an electrical engineer I took a lot of physics and math courses and can relate those courses into high school physics in which would of helped me if I knew them. Since in high school teachers give you equations and don't explain on how they are derived and so I would try to explain how the equations were derived.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
As an electrical engineering I have a strong grasp of mathematics concepts in which I can help guide students. I can show them that they can be a math professor even though right now they struggle. A strong foundation is needed and the sooner you learn it the quicker you can make connections and apply them to real life problems in which students love.
SAT Math Tutoring
I have scored 760 on the math portion of the SAT and I think everyone can score well on it as long the understand their high school math material. The SAT math is simpler than what is taught in high school and is more logical in which I excel as an electrical engineer. My approach is simple but very effective where the student has to think about a problem that they don't understand over weekends and try to solve it without looking at the solution. Then when I meet them I can correct their reasoning since by tackling hard problems you see how a person attempts to solve a problem and it is easier to fix their mistake.
Science Tutoring
As an electrical engineer science and math are very important subjects that need to be developed to understand engineering concepts. I found my early passion for science in middle school and know how to enhance the learning experience.
Regents Tutoring
I can help tutor math and science subjects for the regents exam.I took Regents exams and know the strategies and the format of different types of tests. I did well on the Regents exams scoring 90 and above on different types of test. Math and Science I scored very high and received 99 on Algebra II and 95 on physics.
