Fun Facts
I love the Spanish language. I love to teach Spanish. I believe people who are exposed to and use more than one language can challenge any situation that comes their way. In my spare time, I love to watch movies and listen to music. But my favorite thing to do is teach. I love helping others open up their minds to new things.
About Me
I am a Business Major who decided to go back to school for a Spanish major with a certification in teaching. Spanish has always been something that I was passionate about. Living in Texas, Spanish is one of the major languages used. My goal is to help others learn the language to use in their future endeavors.
Experience
As a Spanish student with a certification, I have helped and tutored kids in high school while fulfilling my student blocks. Blocks are for students that want to be teachers who observe classrooms, but also have opportunities to volunteer their time to help with school organizations or tutor. It has been a great learning experience and a lot of fun.
Approach
As a US citizen, my parents spoke Spanish but I didn't. In high school, I begin my journey in embracing my culture and learning to read, write, and speak in Spanish. I worked for a credit union where I was able to use my skills through a lot of conversation with customers. I decided to make it official in 2015 as more and more companies where leaning towards Spanish majors. With the help of my family, friends, study abroad programs, and professors, Spanish became apart of my life indefinitely.
