Fun Facts
Centripetal acceleration, momentum, and force are just three physics concepts that can be applied to not only every day life, but also Track and Field. My favorite pass time has to be competing for my schools team. While I attend these lengthy meets, I think about the different ways the subjects I learned about in school can be applied to the sport. I think it helps you not only conceptualize, but even make the matter much more entertaining and v.
About Me
I am a junior Civil Engineering major at CUNY City College, and I plan on going into the field upon graduation. I had received the Scholar Athlete of the year award my freshman year in college! My specialization is structural yet have a growing interest in fluid mechanics and hydraulics. I hope to pass the Professional Engineers exam, and would certainly state that as my long term goal.
Experience
I have always had a strong interest in teaching, helping others learn and expand. Tutoring children is something I would always volunteer to do, and have recently assisted a high school student in passing the Earth Science Regents exam. It was material that gave me joy learning, and in return allowed me the same joy to pass what I had learned on to the next generation. This isn't the type of job where you just work for yourself, but rather the greater good.
Approach
"Yard by yard its hard, inch by inch it's a synch", this is my favorite quote, because it signifies how demoralizing, or hopeful education can seem just based on perspective. This was an issue I had faced for a long time, seeing what the course encompassed and dismissing it as too difficult. I had eventually come to the realization that each course is just a stepping stone built on material before it. I wish to teach students how to compartmentalize subjects, so they can conquer them.

AutoCAD Tutoring
The spring of my sophomore semester I took a course named Site Planning, that was heavy in learning AutoCAD, I not only enjoyed this class I also excelled in it. The class progressed from introductory assignments to a group project. The project involved collaborating, but also creating AutoCAD drawings based on real life construction drawings.
