I recently return to the states from Grenada, W.I. I enjoyed riding around the country side during assessments for child development. It was a beautiful island with lots of mountains and waterfalls. I enjoy riding the city limo with my headphones on while crocheting.

About Me

I have been creating online courses for the past five years. I have been teaching for the past ten+ years and I enjoy when my students are enthusiastic about the material. I returned to school to better understand how to design interactive courses as well as the process of learning. This knowledge has helped me to use learning models with instructional models for classroom materials. I create my material to specialize in my student's struggling areas. My goal is to create e-learning material to assist with the transition from text to digital along with increasing global education. I like to be creative and enjoy writing, coloring, and dancing.

Experience

I taught homeschool for ten years and I have been tutoring online for the past five years. My educational background in Educational Psychology helps me to understand the learning process and my Instructional Design courses help me create individualized learning plans.I have learned to identify learning styles that will keep my students engaged.

Approach

My teaching approach is eclectic. I use Powerpoint and Slideshow to present material; online resources such as Oxford Owl and interactive worksheets; and the KWL model (determine what is already known, what needs to be taught and how will the subject be learned) to devise learning plans. I teach student through examples and interaction. Our sessions begins with illustrations, advances to work together activities and ends with questions and review.
