Fun Facts
As much as I love playing video games and playing sports, I truly love mathematics. Throughout my life I have found Math to actually be fun and interesting once you understand it.
About Me
I am currently a Sophomore Environmental Engineering major at The City College of New York. As a part of the Grove School of Engineering Honors Program, I have been been on the Deans List in each of my first three semester. My goal is to graduate with a Bachelors of Engineering Degree and pursue my Masters in Business. I am focused on using my educational background in order to start up my own renewable energy company.
Experience
Being a member of the Arista National Honors Society in High School, I was required to tutor 5 hours-a-week in the tutoring center at my school. Tutoring was an important experience because it allowed me to learn how to teach someone else a subject. I began tutoring geometry and trigonometry and eventually Calculus which helped me maintain a thorough understanding of the subjects which in turn made me a better tutor.
Approach
My approach to tackling a math problem is unique as I have developed many different methods and shortcuts to solving math problems. When i tackle a problem, I first identify the problem and understand what is being asked, and I then use that knowledge to apply a specific solution method to that problem. I have been fortunate enough to have had the very best Math teachers at my High School and in my first two years in College, which has allowed me to have a deep foundation in mathematics.

Calculus I Tutoring
I have an extremely thorough understanding of Calculus 1 as it serves as the root of all higher level math. I took AB Calculus and received a 5 on the AP test but instead of skipping Calculus 1, I decided to retake it and master the subject.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
Calculus 2 builds on Calculus 1 and thanks to have a brilliant calculus 2 teacher I have been able to fundamentally understand the subject. I have experience teaching calculus 2 to fellow classmates as we had study groups in order to better learn the subject. My Calculus 2 skills are still used in my current math classes, which allows me to keep my skills sharp.
Calculus AP Tutoring
I have taken Calculus 1,2,3 as well as receiving a 5 on the Calculus AB AP test. I am currently studying Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. I have experience teaching AP Calculus in High School and in College.
Macro Economics Tutoring
I am currently minoring in Economics as I have completed micro and macro economics courses as well as Law and Economics.
Algebra Tutoring

I speak, read and write fluent Greek as i completed an eight year Greek course. I have also visited Greece many times to practice the language.
Science Tutoring
As an Engineering major, I have taken advanced courses in Chemistry, Physics and Earth Systems Science.
Elementary Math Tutoring
As someone who has a fundamental understanding of higher level math, elementary math is used even in current courses I am taking. This allows me to keep my elementary math skills fresh, which allows me to teach elementary math.
