Biology I Tutoring

I took AP bio in high school and received a 4 on the AP exam. I received a 93 on the Biology Reagents and I received an A in the course in college in BIO 101. Additionally, I conducted one summer of research in a bio lab working on DNA synthesis. That data was used to develop some of the experiments for the course and to write the course lab book.

College Algebra Tutoring

As an engineering major I've taken a number of advanced math courses in which I received mostly A's and B's. Additionally, algebra is my favorite math subject and it's the one I tutored most frequently throughout high school.

Environmental Science Tutoring

I'm an Earth System Sciences and Environmental Engineering Major. I have taken courses such as Earth Systems Sciences and Engineering, Global Hazards, Systems Analysis for the Earth, Hydrology and Environmental Field Investigations and received and A in all of them.

I used this program to create designs for my senior capstone project in addition to projects for my summer internship at Brooklyn College where we designed resilient and sustainable models.

Writing Tutoring

I worked as a tutor at the writing center for one year. Additionally, I edited and reviewed college essays as a tutor for Let's Get Ready! The organization where I specialized in SAT math prep

Algebra Tutoring

I received a 91 on the algebra reagents in high school. Additionally, this is the subject I tutored as part of my high school program. I also took college level classes in high school and tutored algebra in my church community.

AP English Tutoring

I took both AP literature and AP composition and received a 4 on both exams. Additionally, I placed out of college level courses due to my performance on the exams. I also received a 100 on the English reagents in high school.

Biology AP Tutoring

I took the AP bio exam in and received a 4. Additionally, I received an A in the college level course and I took the SAT 2 in Bio as well.

SAT Math Tutoring

I received a 680 on the math section of my SAT. Additionally, I have been tutoring SAT math for a while both in my community and with the Let's Get Ready! where I worked for almost a year. My students showed significant results in their performance and are now all in college. I'm also an engineering student and I have been studying for the GRE so my math prep skills are fresh in my mind.

SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring

I scored a 700 on the reading section of the SAT and a 720 on the writing section with a perfect essay score. Additionally, on the GRE I scored in the 91st percentile in the reading/writing sections.

Science Tutoring

I am an environmental engineering major so I have a lot of experience with science courses. I have also excelled in the sciences in high school. Particularly in biology In both college and high school I took honors level science classes.

Arts Tutoring

As a tutor with at MS 226 I worked with middle school level students for one year on their reading and math skills. I have attended religious schools my entire life and have grown up in a religious community. I have taken a number of courses in my high school such as ethics, world religions and christian perspectives to name a few.

Elementary Math Tutoring

I tutored math and reading to elementary school level and middle school level students at MS 226 as part of their after school program. Additionally, I tutored elementary level students in math as part of a summer camp program that was started in my community. I'm also an engineering major so I have a strong grasp on math and I know how to present the information in a way that younger students can understand as I grew up with younger siblings.

I have been a user and owner of Mac products for 8 years now and I'm very familiar with how they work as I used to assist my schools IT employees with repairs, etc.

MATLAB Tutoring

I have taken two courses in MATLAB in which I received a B. Additionally, I have used the program to work on research projects through my fellowship with NOAA.

Microsoft Excel Tutoring

I have used Microsoft excel throughout my entire academic career. I took a course on how to use Microsoft programs in both high school and middle school. In my college course Earth Systems Analysis of the Earth we were required to conduct statistical tests using excel. Additionally, I've used it to analyze information for my research projects as part of my fellowship with NOAA

I have used Microsoft powerpoint throughout my entire academic career. I took a course on how to use Microsoft programs in both high school and middle school. In my college courses I have constantly used to power point to present projects and information. Additionally, I've used it to present my research project as part of my fellowship with NOAA at the Summer Conference and to present my internship work at the Jamaica Bay State of the Bay Conference.

I have used Microsoft word throughout my entire academic career. I took a course on how to use Microsoft programs in both high school and middle school. In my college courses I have constantly used to word for homework, projects, essays and all documents. Additionally, I've used it to write my research papers as part of my fellowship with NOAA at the Summer Conference and to write my reports as part of my internship work at the Jamaica Bay State of the Bay Conference.
