Fun Facts
Since I grew up in the Air Force, I love traveling. I have moved ten times in the past seventeen years, and I've lived everywhere from New Mexico to South Korea. I also enjoy trying new things! My newest endeavors include salsa and swing dancing.
About Me
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Puget Sound. In addition to being a Molecular Biology and Music Performance double major, I am a member of the Honors Program. My passion for music begins with the oboe, which I have been playing for seven years. I have always loved genetics, and hope to become a gene therapist when I leave college.
Experience
In high school, I had the opportunity to tutor a serviceman working towards his GED. I helped mostly with algebra and trigonometry. Since then, I have been eager to begin helping students again. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the ability to help more students achieve their full potential.
Approach
When I was a child, I loved learning. From elementary to high school, there was never a day I went to school without extra books in my backpack. This passion for learning is what led to my success in my education. As a tutor, I plan to cultivate a genuine love of learning because an intrinsic motivation for knowledge is a stronger and more permanent incentive than grades. I plan to encourage interests where they already exist and develop interest in new subjects to foster success in all areas.

Algebra Tutoring
Throughout high school, I received high grades in all my mathematics classes. I completed AP Calculus as a high school sophomore and earned a 5 on the corresponding AP test. I also have experience tutoring students of all ages in math.
