I took Algebra I and Algebra II in high school and feel that I have mastered the curriculum and content taught. In addition, I have taken many courses using the the concepts taught in Algebra such as Geometry, Calculus, and Discrete Mathematics. As a computer science major, I use Algebra daily in class and in homework assignments so I understand not only the concepts but their applicability as well.

Since then I have used my knowledge in statistics to write programs that conduct statistical testing and analysis. In addition, I have kept meticulous notes and study guides from my AP Statistics class.

I took Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB in high school and earned a 5 on the AP Exam. In addition, I have taken Calculus II in college and have used calculus in some of my programming assignments. Because of this, I believe that I have a firm grasp on not only the concepts and curriculum of Calculus, but also the applicability to real life situations.

I have researched and tried many different study techniques to discover the ones that are most effective for me. I earned a 36 on the reading section of the ACT and 770 on the critical reading section of the SAT. I believe I have a strong grasp on the close-reading and analysis skills needed to ace the the reading section of the ACT. Furthermore, I have taken many reading heavy courses including AP English Language and Composition, AP US History, AP Government, Cultures and Contexts: Empires, and Writing the Essay.
