Fun Facts
Two things that I am very passionate about are music and video/ computer games. I used to play a little bit of piano and guitar. I like to read romance novels, or fantasy books. I like watching anime and reading manga. I like to snowboard and ice skate, but I am not very good at either.
About Me
I obtained a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Sociology at the University of New Mexico. I would like my career to deal with writing about different cultures all over the world and see how they compare to cultures in the United States.
Experience
Ever since third grade I have had to help my younger sister with her homework and I taught her how she could do the work herself if she just applied herself and focused on her studies. Sometimes I will help people in my classes who struggle with Microsoft Office and help them put together presentations, set up spreadsheets, and create Word documents.
Approach
I grew up in a family that encouraged proper grammar and English and I have learned to utilize it in a way that fits today's society. So, I would like help those I tutor focus on structuralization and organization, while helping them to learn how to write their own essays with ease. I learned from a teacher in fifth grade how to memorize topics from history a little easier than on my own.

English
English Tutoring
The English classes that I have taken in college so far are as follows: Comp II- Analysis and Argument, Expository Writing, Composition I Exposition, Earlier American Literature. In high school I studied various poets, including James Joyce. I have received grades in this subject between A's and B's. This relates to my degree in that it is what I am pursuing as a degree.
History Tutoring
Some of the history classes I took in high school were, American Studies, New Mexico History, and World History. My degree is related to this subject in that I learn about what the events the writers had gone through during certain periods of history and how those events effected their work. I would receive grades in this subject ranging from B's- high C's.
Religion Tutoring
I have taken various Catholicism courses in High School, and a wide variety of religious courses in college, such as World Religion and Eastern Religion. I had received A's and B's in these subjects. This relates to my degree in that some of the authors I have read, base some of their work on their religious beliefs.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
All of my classes deal with reading comprehension and a lot of them want me to analyze what I have read. I have received A's and B's in these classes. I used to help my sister with her papers based on the required texts.
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
I took a class that dealt with computer science and learned how to use Microsoft Excel efficiently. I received an A in the class. I have helped my sister and some people in the class to set up their spreadsheets.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
I took a class that dealt with computer science and learned how to use Microsoft PowerPoint efficiently. I received an A in the class. I have helped my sister and some people in the class to set up their PowerPoint presentations. In a lot of my English classes we have to present to the class using PowerPoint slides.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
In all of my English classes I have to type up essays using Microsoft Word. In those classes I typically received either A's or B's. I help my sister, classmates, and my grandparents to use Microsoft Word.
