I got married this year, March 9, 2013. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, running, working out, and reading. I also love to cook and bake.

About Me

As mentioned above, I enjoy being active but I also enjoy learning new and exciting things. I am a reliable worker and am easy to get along with. I love to help others learn new material as well as helping them think for themselves. I also go to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

I tutored one college student for an elementary education math course at Indiana University Bloomington. I also helped a fifth grader with her homework quite a bit. I've never had an actual job title as a indianapolis">tutor for a company but I enjoyed helping each of these students succeed in understanding the material.

I would first have to look over the material for a moment to collect my thoughts. I would then decide on my approach. A lot of the times I enjoyed using visuals so we would draw a lot of pictures. I also used manipulative's so ideas and their thought process could be more concrete. Other times we worked on writing out their thought process after solving the problem. They would have to learn how to articulate the problem they had just solved.
