Fun Facts
I love playing Ping Pong! I used to play a lot more than I do, but I recently played in an Ole Miss wide tournament and lost in the championship to a player that trained everyday. I also have 2 brothers and 1 sister; one brother who is a senior at Ole Miss, another who is a junior in high school, and my sister is in the fourth grade. I played 4 sports in high school, and now enjoy cheering on the Rebels any chance I can get!
About Me
I am a junior Business Management major at the University of Mississippi. I have always enjoyed writing and English classes, as well as learning about the business climate of today. I still am weighing my options as to what I should do after school, but my major allows me to keep my options open, and I am very excited for what the future could hold!
Experience
As a high school student at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Jackson, we routinely would go to the lower school and tutor the younger children. Also, I was a swim coach from the age of 14-19 and was privileged to coach the 6 and unders, as well as the 9-10 age group. I would love to work with that age group of kids again, as it makes me happy to be with them.
Approach
My approach would be simple: patience. When I was younger, what would frustrate me the most is teachers moving too fast, and not having time for questions. I would get flustered and stop paying attention. My goal would be to make sure the kids actually understand what we are doing, and not just say it so they don't seem "dumb," or "stupid."

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Almost every class I take requires reading comprehension, and I consider this one of my strong suits. On the reading comprehension ACT section, I scored a 36 out of 36. I read regularly, and could give pointers as how to improve reading comprehension.
History Tutoring
His 106: A
Along with my basic level history at Ole Miss, I took multiple honors classes in high school and have a solid base of knowledge for not only American history, but European, and classical history as well.
Middle School Math Tutoring
Until the 10th grade, I had never gotten below an A in a math class. However, after that it went down hill, as the concepts got harder and harder. However, I excelled in Middle school, going as far to win the math award in the 7th grade. I know I could use my knowledge to help the kids.
Arts Tutoring
I am not the greatest artist, but I was in choir for many years. Besides that, I can just bring enthusiasm and empathy where I lack in skill.
Math Tutoring
I am very good with doing calculations in my head, and this could help for expediency's sake while tutoring the younger kids. I also can help show tricks on multiplication tables and long division, etc.
Elementary Math Tutoring
As stated, my calculus and trig may not be so great, but I excelled in math when I was younger, and help my little sister regularly with her math homework.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
I have been using Microsoft Word since I have been using a computer. I do not know every single subtlety that it offers, but I know more than just the basic functions. I could easily teach someone how to use it and even offer information that most people may not know.
