I love new challenges, currently I am immersing myself in the art of silks.
I never had formal gymnastics training, but I am trying to learn a few things here and there.
I am left handed, and love to sculpt and paint.

About Me

I am a recent Hunter College graduate. I double majored (Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology and Studio Art). I enjoy art and find it very therapeutic, however over my time it became clear that I had a natural attraction towards the sciences. I am currently working on my medical school application and will be applying the following cycle.

Experience

Even though I have not tutored as a job/volunteer opportunity, I have had the chance to tutor many of my peers. I understood the struggle my peers had and was able to design sessions based on the way they learned. For example the breakdown of DNA replication, transcription, and translation. I saw my self creating many visual aids and helping them map their way through the process which ultimately made the difference for them.

Approach

I had trouble understanding many of my science courses when I first started college, over time I realized that not everyone can study in the same manner. I realized that I was a visual learner and found that a diagram would aid me far better than the most descriptive paragraph. I want my students to figure out what type of learner they are early on, with a positive environment I know that they will get far. I am here to help them through that process and ensure they are prepared for the future!
