Fun Facts

I have played the clarinet for 12 years and have marched in the marching band for 4 years.
I played soccer, basketball, and volleyball, as well as ran cross country.
I am a founding member of the Eta Psi chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority at UNCC. I love photography and I am obsessed with the color pink. I am also lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certified and have been a lifeguard for 3 years. I worked as a lifeguard and counselor at a children's weightloss camp this summer and had an amazing time! Children are my passion. I am an Elementary Education major at UNCC. I hardly ever watch television. My favorite foods are steak and sweets :)

About Me

Junior at University of North Carolina at Charlotte studying Elementary Education. I am from greenville">Greenville, SC. I have wanted to be a teacher since the time I could talk. Nothing will ever change or alter this decision. Children and specifically students are my passion and I love working with them and making a lasting impression on their lives.

I was a Math charlotte">tutor at Horry Georgetown Technical College August 2012-May 2013. I tutored every subject from remedial math up to Calculus 1. I loved my experience as a charlotte">tutor because kids and students are my passion.

My approach to charlotte">tutoring is allowing the student to talk while I listen. It is very important to pinpoint exactly what the student is struggling as well as the goals that are needing accomplished. A lot of times charlotte">tutors tend to talk the whole time and charlotte">tutor the topics they think are important. I do not think that is the most effective and beneficial approach. It is also very important for the charlotte">tutor to follow up to make sure the student is not only retaining the information but can also apply it as well.
