I am extremely passionate about music and play guitar in a band in my hometown of San Diego. I love playing, studying, and listening to music any chance I get!
About Me
I am a junior Electrical Engineering major at Santa Clara University in the honors program. I hope to make an impact developing energy efficient and useful technologies to help solve major world problems.
Experience
In high school, I tutored kids in physics, calculus, and Spanish through word of mouth. Soon after, I got a job at a tutoring service called College Prep Tutoring in San Diego tutoring algebra. In the summer after my freshmen year in college, I worked at a local Mathnasium as an instructor. This year, I've been working at the Gallagher Learning Center in Saratoga tutoring algebra, geometry, Spanish, English, and precalc. I am eager and willing to help in any way I can!
Approach
In our present education system, many kids with only minor knowledge gaps can fall through the cracks and start to fall behind. My approach to tutoring is to first accurately assess the student's knowledge of a subject and to figure out the specific gaps in knowledge that are the root of their problems. I then work to fill these gaps by tying them to things they already know or working slowly through real world examples while constantly reinforcing that they CAN do this and are NOT incapable.

Electrical Engineering
Calculus I Tutoring
I took AP Calc AB and BC in high school and then finished up with Calc III and Calc IV in college. I got a 5 on both the AB and BC AP tests and I got an A in both Calc III and Calc IV in college. Furthermore, a decent amount of calculus is required for many Electrical Engineering courses and so I've kept up with my calculus skills.

I took AP Calc AB and BC in high school and then finished up with Calc III and Calc IV in college. I got a 5 on both the AB and BC AP tests and I got an A in both Calc III and Calc IV in college. Furthermore, a decent amount of calculus is required for many Electrical Engineering courses and so I've kept up with my calculus skills.
Chemistry I Tutoring
I took AP chemistry in high school and was among the few students in my class who got a 5 on the AP test. I then took Chem I in college as I thought I wanted to be a bioengineering student. I got an A in the class and love chemistry in general.
College Algebra Tutoring
I have tutored in Algebra for many years including teaching a class of 7 middle school kids. Furthermore, Electrical Engineering classes always require an extreme amount of algebra knowledge and so I am very comfortable in this area. I love sharing my knowledge in this area.
Electrical Engineering Tutoring
I am a junior Electrical Engineering student at Santa Clara University and I have a major GPA of 3.81. I am only a junior and so would not be able to tutor senior classes, but I would love to tutor in any of the basics of Electrical Engineering.

I took AP Physics C in high school and I received a 5 in mechanics and a 4 in Electricity and Magnetism. As I am studying Electrical Engineering in college, I decided Electricity and Magnetism again in college and I got an A. I find physics fascinating and would love to tutor it.

Because I am not a native speaker, I am even more qualified to tutor in this subject area as I, like the student I'd be tutoring, had to learn all of the material the hard way.
