Fun Facts

Though my field of study is physics, I am a classically trained clarinetist and have been playing for 15.5 years. I can also play (and perform with) the guitar, ukulele, and drums. Music is definitely my main hobby. When I'm not studying for class, I'm playing some instrument.

I know the capitol city of all 197 sovereign nations in the world. Feel free to quiz me whenever you want!

About Me

I am a physics major with a focus in astrophysics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. When I graduate, I hope to work for NASA at the Goddard Spaceflight Center where I can hopefully be a part of the, as of now unlaunched, JWST mission.

I also managed a music instrument store for 2 years and am still a performing musician on multiple instruments.

Experience

As the manager of a music instrument store, I oversaw the development of, on average, just over 400 students at any given time. With our focus being one-on-one music lessons, I was able to learn what it is needed for a student to be success in not only music, but any field study. Though my main duty was managing, I often gave the private lessons myself on multiple instruments.

Approach

When it comes to teaching, being able to cultivate motivation and a desire to learn is as, or more, important than the presentation of information.
