Fun Facts
I just finished my second study abroad in Asia this past summer and so far, I have traveled to 40 different countries! I was born in Brazil so I speak Portuguese and English fluently as well as proficient in Spanish. Other than traveling, I enjoy listening to music and creating playlists for any occasion. I also like getting involved with organizations at my school such as Relay for Life, Alpha Chi Omega, and Engineers without Borders!
About Me
I am a fourth year Industrial Engineering major and a Global Development Minor at Georgia Tech. After school, I would love to work for a non profit abroad. School is a priority for me and I have been on the Dean's list every semester and I got Faculty Honors last Spring. My current GPA is a 3.80. I have also had several leadership rolls on Georgia Tech career fair Exec, Alpha Chi Omega, Engineers without Borders, and a few others as well.
Experience
I was a tutor at Omega tutoring center for a few months last summer where I learned what teaching style best fits each age group. I tutored ages 5 to 18 in many different subject areas. Through that experience, I discovered how much I enjoy teaching and helping people fully grasp material. Other than my tutoring job, I was a nanny to a family where I had to tutor the kids and help them with their weekly homework.
Approach
My tutoring approach changes depending on the age group and subject at hand. For younger kids, I try to make the material fun and make learning a step by step process to where they don't realize they are learning the material. For older kids, I like to relate the material back to real life examples or something that will apply to a future job field.
