I am a very avid reader and am working on my first book in a series I plan to have published. I am the oldest of three kids and my father is a youth pastor.

About Me

I am an Executive Assistant to the Chief Talent Officer for the Indiana Department of Education. I graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor's degree in English. My concentration was in Creative Writing. I plan to pursue my Master's in English, the goal is to get my PhD. I also plan to get a Master's and PhD in Education specifically Education Administration. The goal in the end is to run a network of schools.

Experience

I have been tutoring since I was in middle school. My high school made it a requirement in order to graduate, that we had to tutor at least 3 days a week for 1 hour. During college I picked up tutoring jobs in the summer. When I graduated I continued to tutor throughout the school years.

Approach

I found that I was a hands on learner and that I could remember concepts better when I found a way to relate to my personal experiences. As a tutor I try to help based on their learning style mixed with my own. I truly believe that once you unlock the secrets to how a student learns there is no limit to what they can be taught.
