Fun Facts

I love "jeeping" -- I own a Jeep Wrangler that I love to take the hardtop off and go through mud and climb rocks. For the past 2 years I've lived near the beach where I was able to take it through some really fun trails near the sand. I've never rolled or been stuck! My husband and I attend "Jeep Beach" every year in Florida.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in mid-Illinois and went to college at the University of Illinois. Shortly after graduating with a BS in Chemistry, I relocated to Georgia were I've lived for the past 2 years. Recently, my husband and I just moved to Texas. I currently work at a dental office and am looking at graduate schools in the area.

Experience

I started tutoring local high school students while I was in college. My main focus was science/math, but I was able to help her understand most of her homework. During my studies, I also became a note take/class tutor for other college students.

Approach

The best way to get interest in a complex subject is to make it fun. I never enjoyed history until I had an outstanding professor in college--he made it fun for me to learn. It was eye opening for me! If he could get me interested in history, I knew I could use it to get others interested in a subject they may not like or enjoy. Making a difficult subject fun has been the best approach I've found.
