I really enjoy sports and physical activities. On the weekends, I spend time doing physical activities with my four beautiful children, and I always use this as an opportunity to make it educational and silly. We really have fun together, and I enjoy hearing their laughter.

About Me

I am a Chemical engineer with valuable experience as well as a tutor with a passion in teaching mathematical concepts. Even though my academic background is saturated with math, I took extra math classes recently at TCC and received a certificate of recognition for my high achievement. Moreover, I serve my classmates with tutoring, and in the past, I was employed as an ESL instructor for a couple of years.

Experience

When I came to the United States in 2014, I started working as ESL instructor for almost two years. Since then, I have devoted the last eight months to sharpening my math skills by taking pre-calculus, business calculus, and college algebra at TCC. Additionally, I am currently finishing Calculus II. My plan for the next semester is to start my graduate study in chemical engineering (master of science).

Approach

To be a good math teacher, you are supposed to have a great arsenal of imagery tools and practical examples. Math cannot be taught the way reading and writing is taught. I believe that students should not simply memorize all the math formulas to be good in math, but rather, students should have fun digesting math concepts for deeper understanding. Through deep understanding, students are able to customize their approach to formulas, which always fits the original ones.
