Fun Facts
I am a classically trained ballet dancer! I have been dancing ballet since I was three years old and have been accepted into many prestigious schools and summer intensives. I love to dance and continued it in college by taking class in Manhattan most weekends and by starting competitive ballroom dancing. I also enjoy Broadway shows and history documentaries.
About Me
I am a junior at Hofstra University pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Biochemistry. I am a member of the Honors College as well. After graduating I hope to either go to medical school and become a neurologist or earn a PhD. and become a researcher for neurodegenerative disorders.
Experience
Although I have never formally been a tutor, I have always helped my classmates and friends with their homework. Outside of academia, I am a dance teacher for a wide range of ages and levels so I am knowledgeable in being able to impart information to others. I love teaching, academics and dance, to others. I find enjoyment in inspiring others to grow and succeed.
Approach
I was lucky and developed strong study habits early on. My father is a college professor and he taught me how to stay organized and on top of my work. My dance experience also aided my studying habits as well, it taught me to be persistent even if I found something challenging. When I teach others, I teach with the goal of giving them skills of perseverance and diligence to become better workers in any subject they come across, not just learning the class material.

Biology I Tutoring
Biology 12 (Animal Form and Function) passed with a B- or higher in both lecture and Lab Sections.

Earned a B in the class junior year of high school and scored a 4 on the AP exam. Currently a science major in the Biology Department so my knowledge of biology is constantly being refreshed.

Elementary Math Tutoring
My CST (California Standards Test) scores for all subjects, especially math, were always in the Advanced range. In 4th grade I was lucky enough to be in a 4th/5th grade class and able to learn 5th grade math a year early and do just as well as the older children. I also was part of the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program for math 3rd-5th grade.
