Fun Facts
My biggest hobby is crafting. I love to sew, paint, and make all sorts of fun things. I love to travel and learn about different cultures. This past summer I went to France and to Belize for a mission trip. I also have been on mission trips to Honduras and Mexico. All of these mission trips were the best experiences of my life!
About Me
I am a sophomore at Texas Christian University and I am majoring in studio art with an emphasis in photography. After College I hope to find a job working for a magazine while I also work as an independent artist. I like helping all different ages of students, but I am particularly good with helping younger students.
In high school I was in a class called peer helpers my whole senior year. Peer helpers was a class designed to let high school students go to the local elementary and help certain children the whole school year. I helped them with their home work and also personal problems. It was a great program and i learned so much.
When I was in second grade I had a really hard time with being able to keep up with math. After second grade my mom home schooled me for three years to help me cathch up. The one on one learning style made a tremendous difference in the way I learned. I understand that some students need more one on one time to fully grasp the concepts. Encouragement and patience are the two most important attitudes that a tutor can have, and I will always use them in my tutoring.
