Fun Facts
I love soccer!! I played for a national team for four years and gave it up to pursue my dreams of becoming a doctor. I am a born and raised Colorado girl and love to hike and snowboard. I also have two Goldendoodles that I LOVE.
About Me
I am almost through my sophomore year of college at the University of Colorado Denver and have been on the Dean's List through the duration of my higher education. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and plan on applying into nursing school in the fall. After nursing school, I hope to take the MCAT and go to medical school to become a pediatric oncologist.
Experience
I have been both in the position of giving and receiving tutoring. For a long time, I thought that receiving tutoring was a bad thing, that it meant I wasn't smart enough. However, I'm here to tell you that it's simply not true! Due to my upper-level college experiences, I have grown comfortable in many subjects and often tutor friends. I have participated in many advanced academic classes and my success in these classes has allowed me to help other students succeed too.
Approach
It wasn't until college that I realized how beneficial a tutor really could be. My philosophy is that you don't always have to do things alone. I am here not to give you the answers but help you piece together information that you most likely already know in order to understand the concepts in full. I use an approach that incorporates lots of drawing. I feel like many people benefit from being able to draw something out and visualize it.

Nursing
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
At CU Denver, we pride ourselves on our medical program. This means our Anatomy and Physiology course is the most rigorous in the state. Despite this, I received a B, a grade much higher than average for the course.

Biology I Tutoring
I have taken AP biology in high school and succeeded at that class. Since then, I have received As in college cellular biology and am currently doing very well in microbiology.

I have taken AP biology in high school and succeeded in that class. Since then, I have received As in college cellular biology and am currently doing very well in microbiology.
English Tutoring
I have taken both AP Language and Comprehension and AP Literature and Composition. I passed each of those AP tests with 3s. I also have taken college level English 1 and received an A.
Nutrition Tutoring
I am currently taking college nutritional chemistry and have an A. I really understand the information and it builds off of a lot of the other classes I have previously excelled in.
Psychology Tutoring
I have taken college introduction to psychology and received an A. I have also taken college level childhood and adult psychology and received As in both of those classes.
Study Skills Tutoring
I currently have a 3.8 GPA and have very efficient study skills that have helped me excel in my academic career. I would love to pass these onto someone else and help them succeed too!
Writing Tutoring
I have taken college English and received an A in the class. My professor was very impressed with my level of writing and even recommended that I skip the next advanced English course. I also have taken college creative writing and received an A.

Science Tutoring
In high school, I took chemistry, AP environmental science, anatomy, physics, and intro to medicine. All of these classes really intrigued me and I did well in each. In college, I have completed anatomy, cellular biology, and general chemistry 1 and 2. I am currently enrolled in microbiology, physiology, and nutritional chemistry. I currently have As in each of those classes.
Math Tutoring
I have made it through both high school and college level math receiving a minimum of a B in any of the upper division math courses.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have taken college english and received an A. I also have taken AP language and composition and AP english and composition and did very well in each of those classes.
